Availability
Due to Young Life's summer camping season, Windy Gap is unable to book outside groups from mid-May through mid-August.
We are available for booking during the school year (mid-August through mid-May).
Note: because we are a 501(c)(3) organization, we are not available for weddings, family reunions, or corporate events. We welcome non-profit, church, or service groups of 250 or larger!

Housing Options
Camper Cabins
These 4 camper dorms have a combined sleeping capacity of 333 guests. All camper cabins are comprised of bunk rooms ranging from 8 to 12 beds. For additional camper housing, see information for Cedar Mtn and/or Spruce Mtn. Each cabin includes a toilet room, shower stall, and sink. Additional toilets, showers and sicks can be found in bathhouses located in each camper dorm building. All cabins include heating and air!
Blue Ridge
Blue Ridge is Windy Gap's family style housing. It features a 28-person capacity with its 10 bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms. Common space includes a large kitchen/dining/great room with a fireplace. You can keep younger kids entertained in our indoor playroom which includes a slide! Exterior spaces include a large porch with rocking chairs and a patio with a fire pit and propane grill.
Beech Mountain
Beech Mountain is a duplex comprised of two separate 2 bedroom/1 bathroom apartments. Each apartment offers a queen room, bunk room (1 bunk set and 1 twin bed), living room with fireplace, and kitchenette (no oven).
Sugar Mountain
Sugar Mountain is a triplex comprised of three separate apartments. Each of the two upstairs apartments offer a queen room, a bunk room (1 bunk set and 1 twin bed), living room with fireplace, full kitchen (small fridge), and washer/dryer. The downstairs apartment contains 3 queen bedrooms, a bunk room (1 bunk set and 1 twin bed), 3 full bathrooms, living room, full kitchen, and washer/dryer.
Dr. Chalet
The Doctor's Chalet is a standalone 2 bedroom/1 bathroom house containing a queen room, a bunk room (2 bunk sets), living room with fireplace, and kitchenette (no oven).
Cedar Mountain
Cedar Mountain is a camper-style dorm that accommodates 48 guests bunk style. In addition, there are 2 apartments (one with a full kitchen) included. Common space includes a large lobby/meeting space complete with Apple TV.
Spruce Mountain
Spruce Mountain is a camper-style dorm that accommodates 62 guests bunk style. In addition, there is 1 apartment complete with a full kitchen. Common space includes a large lobby/meeting space complete with Apple TV.
Overlook Lodge
Overlook Lodge can accommodate 16 adults across 8 bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. Common space includes a large living room with fireplace, full kitchen, and dining room. The back deck boasts the best views of camp!
Facilities
Stay in one of our dorms filled with bunk beds, shop around our camp store, and get ready for incredible food to be served in the dining hall.
Grab some nachos or Cheerwine slushie at the Sippin' Parlor, play ping pong in the game room, shoot hoops in our gym and get excited for club in the County Seat!
Activities
Go mountain biking on our trails or challenge your friends to a game of sand volleyball, octoball, soccer or wiffle ball.
Take a dip in the pool or hot tub, play archery tag with your friends or fly through the air and in to the water on our waterfront, "The Landing."
Choose your challenge on one of our three levels of the high ropes course, play a round of disc golf on our 18 hole course, and after head over to the craft shack!
Glide on our giant three person swing or head to the game room for ping pong, foosball, or pool!
Accessibility
We welcome guests of all abilities to our camps. At Windy Gap, all of our main buildings are accessible to strollers or wheelchairs, and we have a handful of cabins that are designed to be accessible (special housing needs may be requested).
Walkways around camp are paved. We will also do our best to help every guest participate in activities. We want every kid to have the best week of their life as they come to camp!
