Availability

Windy Gap is a year-round camping facility. The Young Life camping season runs from Mid-May through Mid-August. Each year we have available dates during the school season. Please contact us for availability and additional information.

Venue Uses:

Conferences, training events, educational retreats, women's retreats, men's retreats, college retreats, high school retreats, junior high retreats, staff retreats, etc. (restricted to non‐profit groups such as churches, parachurch organizations, schools, and other 501(c)(3) organizations)

Pricing

Pricing is based on your group's needs according to number of people, number of nights spent at camp, and catered and dining room meals. We work hard to ensure that our prices match your budget! Please request a no-obligation​ quote today!

Housing Options

Camper Cabins

Our camper cabins sleep a total of 324. Each cabin has between 8 to 12 beds, ample floor space for "cabin times", ceiling fans, hardwood floors and lots of clothing storage space. Each room has a bathroom, shower and three sinks. Each cabin is also equipped with additional bathhouses and lobbies for an even more enjoyable stay!

Blue Ridge

Blue Ridge has 10 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. It has a large kitchen, playroom, dining room, study, laundry, and living room with a fireplace. It also has a large front porch with rocking chairs, as well as a patio with a large seating area and grill.

Beech Mountain

Beech Mountain is a duplex for staff. Each side has a queen bedroom and a bunk room with three total beds, one full bathroom, small kitchen, den and fireplace

Sugar Mountain

Sugar Mountain is a triplex. It has 3 different units that are setup for families. Each includes a queen bedroom and bunk rooms, small kitchen, den and fireplace.

Dr. Chalet

A small family house. including kitchen, dining room, queen bed, bunk room (4 beds), fireplace and den.

Cedar Mountain

Summer staff housing with 2 attached family apartments, 4 bunk rooms, 4 bathhouses and 1 large lobby.

Spruce Mountain

Work crew housing with one attached family apartment. Includes 4 bunk rooms, 2 large bathhouses and 1 large lobby.

Overlook Lodge

Overlook Lodge hosts our adult guests during the summer season. Includes full kitchen, 8 suites with queen or king beds each with their own private ​ bathroom.

Facilities

Stay in one of our dorms filled with bunk beds, shop around our camp store, and get ready for incredible food to be served in the dining hall.

Grab some nachos or Cheerwine slushie at the Sippin' Parlor, play ping pong in the game room, shoot hoops in our gym and get excited for club in the County Seat!

Activities

Go horseback riding or mountain biking on our trails, or challenge your friends to a game of sand volleyball, octoball, soccer or wiffle ball.

Take a dip in the pool or hot tub, play archery tag with your friends or fly through the air and in to the water on our waterfront, "The Landing".

Choose your challenge on one of our three levels of the high ropes course, shoot hoops in our gym, play a round of disc golf on our 18 hole course and after head over to the craft shack!

Glide on our giant three person swing or head to the game room for ping pong, foosball, or pool!

Accessibility

We welcome kids of all abilities to our camps. At Windy Gap, all of our main buildings are accessible to strollers or wheelchairs, and we have a handful of cabins that are designed to be accessible (special housing needs may be requested by your child's trip leader).

Walkways around camp are paved. We will also do our best to help every guest participate in activities. We want every kid to have the best week of their life as they come to camp!
